His team has won hundreds of awards over the years and has claimed the Grand Championship at both the Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue and the American Royal World Series of Barbecue Invitational.
Combining his mastery of competition ‘cue and a willingness to try anything to make better BBQ, Massachusetts-based Gillespie has been working on perfecting “hot and fast” barbecue.
