BBQ Hall of Famer Meathead created AmazingRibs.com in 2005. He uses the site to teach cooking methods and recipes, debunk BBQ myths, and test BBQ and grilling equipment. In 2016, Meathead reached over 15 million people with respectable barbecue and grilling information, making it one of the most popular barbecue and grilling resources.
Meathead runs the website from his home in suburban Chicago, with more than a dozen different grills and smokers in his backyard.
He was inducted to the Barbecue Hall of Fame in 2021. He is the author of the New York Times Best Seller “Meathead: The Science of Great Barbecue and Grilling.” It was named one of the “100 Best Cookbooks Of All Time” by Southern Living magazine.
